General concensus: push any two at the first unopened pot if you have 4BB or less.

When i first started playing SnGs, i checked/folded into the $. I never knew about this concensus. Now that i'm following the concensus, it seems my ROI is lower.

17% over my 1st 2000 50+5.
This very well could be explained by variance/tilt since Raptor has said he's been through two 1000 SnG breakeven streaks.

However, what do you think of my Theory:
Forget the concensus. Stay tight, and hope the bigger stacks make the mistake of battling each other, thus allowing you to squeak into the $?

ie:
5 players, Lvl6 (100/200)
Hero- 750 chips
Player1- 1250
Player2- 2000
Player3- 3000
Player4- 3000
