Default Celtics (Soccer)

Anyone here a fan of the Celtics soccer club? I know next to nothing about the various leagues... how do the Celtics rank? Is it pronounced Celtics like the Boston Celtics, or Celtics like Keltics?

Also, has anyone ever heard of Peerless Patsy?

I thought it was just Celtic, and pronounced like keltic.

I know they and Rangers have a pretty fierce rivalry.

It's Celtic. Pronounce it like Celtics but leave off the s.

They're a solid team but not great team in Europe and a beast in the Scottish league. They tend to do ok but not great in the Champions League either just busting out of the group stage or getting past and then losing in the first knockout round. Along with Rangers they dominate the Scottish Premiership. It's basically always a race between the two.

For those that follow British football at all, they are pretty much every Catholic's default favorite or second favorite team.

Yeah I would say the SPL is absolute [censored] sans Celtic and Rangers. A few of the other teams are ok, but most of the games are 1-0. Celtic and Rangers could make an ass load of money if they were in the EPL. The EPL would be a better league as well.
