I know it was out of this world!!!

well, here's the story. one day I saw a rabbit running around in my backyard so I let my dog out to chase it. she actually caught it and was biting it until I took her away from it. the rabbit seemed fine, so I left it there. the next day it came up to me with the rabbit (dead) in its mouth.

I mourned the loss of the rabbit, threw it in a dumpster, then went on with my life. until. . .

(to be continued after I eat)

(continued)

so, everything was fine. or so it seemed. the next day I was outside and again my dog brings me a rabbit corpse. Im like wtf deja vu, then shrugged it off and threw it away.

things have finally gotten back to normal. . . or have they?

(to be continued after I lift)

ok Im not gunna keep you waiting anymore.

at this point there are 2 dead rabbits in the dumpster near my house. a few days later my dog looks sick like she's about to throw up. she does, and as I go to clean it up I notice something peculiar about the puke. bones???? blood??? but they were so tiny??? hmmm, I pondered.

later that day I go to let her outside and I notice she runs near my neighbors fence. I follow her only to find a nest of 4 little baby rabbits cuddling together. they look fine and lively, but a cold chill comes over me as everything snaps together. my dog killed the mom and dad and ate one of the babies. so I picked up the bunnies and tried to feed them and they looked happy, but clueless as to where their mother was. perhaps they thought I was their mother, because they were very fond of me.

nevertheless, they didn't eat from me and I put them back in their tiny nest thing. a day or two later I check on them and see only one of them is moving. it is shaking and struggling to stay alive, huddled against the corpses of its three siblings. a fly walks over its eye, but it doesn't have the strength to shake it off. I look at it in awe, but can't bring myself to help this poor, defenseless creature.

I still think about it, from time to time. I wonder what would happen if I hadn't been so brash and immature. the image of the last surviving bunny flashes before my eyes . . .

-end

I can post more pictures if anyone wants
