Thinking of going to a rap concert, worth it?
I'm thinking of getting some tickets to go see The Roots in December. However i remember seeing somewhere on this forum say rap concerts were generally pretty poor.
So OOT: What can i generally expect? i'm mostly used to indie gigs or large festivals. What theatrics can i expect? How do they generally make it different to what i'd hear on the CD? |

The Roots put on a pretty good live show, although I would be more excited if Malik B was touring with them, which I don't think he is. They are a live band, unlike most hip hop acts, and very tight. ?uestlove is a filthy drummer.

The Roots are fantastic live. I most recently saw them at Hunter College in NYC this Spring. Although the acoustics as well as the sound guy sucked balls, they still managed to play a great show. Definitely worth it (especially considering the tickets were $10).
And NT! is right. ?uestlove is a filthy drummer. |

The roots are awesome live. They've got a live record you can listen to first if you want to check it out before you go (The Roots Come Alive).
