I dont think I've ever posted here before, but i do spec BBV quite a bit. Anyways, heres the background. There are 8 of us who play in a regular 5/10 HORSE game at a buddies house every week. We all play at the Horseshoe Casino in Council Bluffs, IA daily too. Last night we were sitting at a bar drinking in the new year when the idea came up that the 8 of us should have a Player of the Year. We started talking about it and here are some of the rules we came up with.

1) There is going to be an upfront buyin of $40,000. $30,000 of each entry will be put into a seperate new checking account, all at the same bank. The remaining $10,000 from each entry will be put into another separate account (9 new accounts total). The peson with the most money in their account at the end of the year will win the additional $80,000.

2) All of the withdrawals and deposits will be monitored and there will also be an account summary for all players handed out monthly. If anyone is caught depositing funds into their account that were not aquired through playing poker will be disqualified and lose their shot at the $80,000.

3) The only 2 places you can play for this title are our home game and the Horseshoe Casino. (this will make it easier to validate legit winnings and at least 3 of us are always playing)

4) Funds may aquired through both cash and tournament play.

5) This will begin Feb 1, 2007 and end Jan 31, 2008 at midnight.

We are a pretty tight group of friends and alot of trust is going to be needed to make this all work. If anyone has any other suggestions or rules we should apply, please let me know.
