I'd shove, if he has AA, 55, AK then so be it.

I can't see you being behind enough for this to be a fold. Push.

I push 'cause I don't want a [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] or broadway str8 card on the turn to ruin my action.

I just don't think villain is min-reraising on a pure bluff often enough that we gain any EV by letting him fire another one on the turn.

Were you talking about calling here to get all-in at a later point or calling to take it slowly the rest of the way? I'm going to assume you're looking to get all in on a later street.

If my quick calculation is right, the pot is t840 and you have about t1250 behind.

This seems player dependent. I personally haven't played the $60s before. At the Party $55s, I've never seen anyone fold after they've bet and reraised. Given my experience I'm just putting it in.

There are no draws here that make sense and I'm not all that scared about giving a free card. If you think that calling and trying to get in on the turn is more effective that's fine, but in my experience a push here will also work. I just put it in.

if i call here the pot is 1080 on the river and i have 1070 left.

i think there are two viable plans for non-A rivers: push if bet into and if checked to then either

- bet around 350 hoping to extract a little more value from a badly played A or
- push and try to stack a K.

i think the 2nd one is better because there's no guarantee that an A will call 350, and it might even call a push. the turn min bet/min 3-bet makes villain kind of a wildcard.

The fact that there are no real draws to be afraid of makes this a viable play.

I think my judgment has been clouded by:

This seems to scream "I don't understand odds and pot size." I tend to think that you don't need to get too deceptive against these guys. Again, in this situation your strategy works too if you think you think he's more likely to play you on the river than the turn.
