I thought the first article was very intresting, even though I have no idea what most of the finance terms mean.

It's a good read. Brown does a bit of history of poker, how poker games functioned as rudimentary financial institutions in 19th century frontier towns, then describes the links between poker and modern finance. I'm not nearly knowledgeable enough in finance/trading to know if the connections are legitimate, but at least he has a thought-provoking way of analyzing poker games.

I liked it alot. A lot of stuff on the history of poker and the markets, and the similarites between the two. Not really a strategy book for either. Based on your previous posts I suspect you'll likely already be familiar with all the finance parts. But I thought it was excellent, entertaining and well written.
