Default BE Stretch

Can a 40K Break even stretch be because of variance, or is it more likely that i just suck?

Whats the longest BE stretch you have had?

I spent about 2 hours looking at PT/Poker Grapher last night analyzing my play and trends that resulted, so it's kinda creepy that this thread showed up.

I had 2 noticeable 15-18k stretches that were break even in the past 4 months. Its pretty wild to look at the graph because it's like a heartbeat monitor. +/- 4 BIs for 15k+ hands! I've had exactly TWO "break even" stretches that were -10 BIs, but then +10 BIs, but I don't consider those, primarily because I was a drunk tilt factory losing 10 BIs, then a nit factory getting it back. HIGH FIVE for parabolas!

The recent swing is since Monday.. now.. i am not a great player i admit that freely.. and i deffo tilted some with this.. but 7BIs of missing equity is hard to take over such a short stretch.

I think you should really analyze all of the medium-big pots that you have lost during this stretch. I'm a steady winner at the Stars 200NL fullring tables, but I had a 12K breakeven stretch a few months ago. For the most part I was just running terrible, but I did find a few hands where I definitely made some mistakes. Sometimes it's even some winning hands where you make mistakes by missing value.

One thing that helps me is to go back over my session after I'm done, regardless of how my session went, and look at all of the key pots. Ask yourself if you could have played any hands better...do this every session and it will help you a ton.
