www.pokerinreno.com

Peppermill spreads up to 10-20 and sometimes 15-30 on busy weekends, also 1-2 and 2/5 NL when it's busy. I think El Dorado is also a good option for 1-2 to 2/5 NL as well

I've not played at the Sands, but from what I've heard the better action is elsewhere.

Sands poker room is mostly nitty locals grinding to supplement their social security checks. I can't remember if it is 2-6 spread limit HE or 3/6 HE, but I do remember that it wasn't worth playing.

The Peppermill is the best room in town IMO, and cabs in Reno are cheap compared to almost everywhere so getting around really isn't an issue. The Circus Circus and El Dorado will probably fit your needs as well, and are walking distance from the Sands.

ok, ty.

I think I'll hit the peppermill during my daytime adventures, and then donk it up 60/50/4 style w/ some senior citizens after the coke, prostitutes etc...

oh, also, if you had to recommend 1 strip club near the downtown area, it would be?

Pep and Eldo are the only places to play in Reno. Grand Sierra (formerly the Hilton) is coming along, but the Pep and Eldo are sure things. Both will have something to tickle your fancy-

I've played both regularly for the past few years.

Reviews on both rooms:

Eldo:

Sit in the 2/3/5/10 NL game (2 on the button, 10 to go)

Pep:

Sit in either the 10/20 or 15/30 games, or the 2/5 NL game.

Drive out to Carson City and visit the Moonlite Bunny Ranch. Tell Mrs. Cameron Lee I said hi! You can "get broke" in that place. And I do use the term "broke" loosely!

Ditto, although PM is the better choice.
