You are talking about subscription or pay sites, like iTunes, correct? If otherwise, this type of discussion is verboten per 2+2's TOS.

Not sure if this is considered taboo as per ToS but I've been using allofmp3.com for a while. Whether it's legal or illegal is up in the air, but it's got all the benefits of being a pay site but at an extremely low price. Like $0.08 per song. It's got a fairly wide selection of popular music, pretty much what you'd find at like a Virgin megastore.

I also use allofmp3.com for downloading music. I like the service and don't have any problem finding any music I want. The prices are very low compared to other sites I looked at.
