Default NL100: flopped set, onecard straight boardon the river

Party Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.50/$1 Blinds - 5 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)

Hero (SB): $116.11
BB: $159.71
UTG: $43.70
CO: $90.57
BTN: $94.27

Preflop: Hero is dealt 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (5 Players)
UTG calls $1.00, CO folds, BTN calls $1.00, Hero calls $0.50, BB checks

Flop: ($4) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 Players)
<font color="red">Hero bets $2.75</font>, BB calls $2.75, UTG calls $2.75, BTN calls $2.75

Turn: ($15) J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 Players)
<font color="red">Hero bets $12.00</font>, 2 folds, BTN calls $12.00

River: ($39) A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players)
<font color="red">Hero bets $12.00</font>, <font color="red">BTN raises to $24.00</font>, Hero folds
Uncalled bet of $12.00 returned to BTN

Pot Size: $63.00

BTN: 73 - 2.4 - 1.69 - 26 wts (50 hands only)

What is your line?
Blockbet river? The pot on the flop was 3.75 Therefore I made it 2.75
What if: one raises on the turn? enough equity and outs to get it in?

I really think you have to raise this PF to $6-7. You have the best hand in all likelihood (and you don't mid picking up the pot PF with a mid pair OOP). Then if you do get a caller a CB will often take it down. Plus when you do hit your set you have built the pot and can hopefully stack him on turn or river. Looks a lot like villian had KQ/QJ so your river fold looks fine. I just think your make a better play raising PF and taking it down or getting 1 caller and making a CB.

I am a n00b here, but I raise this PF, and bet more on the flop, PSB. As played, knowing there are 3 to act behind you with sd possibilities on board in an unraised pot is scary, make them pay with a bigger flop c bet if you aren't going to raise PF

Also, hitting your set OOP in a limped pot makes it a lot harder to play the big pot that you want. In position you can bet bet bet and get paid off by TPTK/pair hands and what not, but here pot size and position make it much more difficult. Oh, and make a PSB on the flop.
