Default Laptop W TWO external monitors.... HELP

I need dual monitor bliss. So I have a desktop and two flatscreens, but I constantly switch to my laptop when out and about and sync'ing the two of their file systems, mail, bookmarks, etc, if [censored]. Fugedaboudit.

I want to buy a nice laptop and have two external monitors but I can't find anything on the web on how to do with without using a pcmia vid card which I don't want to do. Has anyone accomplished this feat without doing so?

HELP!

You might be able to find a dock that supports two monitors or use the desktop to serve up multiple monitors using MaxiVista.

MaxiVista my let you use the desktop to serve up dual montiors from your laptop. The only thing you would use it for is to serve up those monitors.

MaxiVista's a good idea, especially if you're connected via cable (you're passing a lot of data; wireless might lag.)

Or you can use a USB video card with the laptop's single video port.

If you get a Dell, this will do the trick. Can't live without mine:

You can get them cheaper other places.

I don't understand how it does the trick. I own two for my older Dell laptop, and it just copies the monitor port in the back to an external dock. That's convenient for plugging & unplugging, but it doesn't create any more monitor ports; you'd still have to use a USB video card or maxi vista.

It does provide one monitor port, but I kinda thought that was included in the laptop already.

Here is my setup.

You need a USB to VGA Converter.

No sir. That model has a DVI and VGA port. We use them for all our mobile employees with multi monitor setups. They have a larger model that includes an optical drive and more USB ports. I'll try to find that one. I use the larger one in my office.
