Default Couple of Questions

It folds to the CO, who is a complete unknown. It is his very first orbit, and he raises 4x the BB.

What do you do with:

A8s-AQs?
A9o-AQo?
22-99?

What if the raiser is on the button instead of in the CO?

We're SB/BB I assume? Something like this is standard for me:

AJs+: 3-bet
A8s-ATs: call
AQo+: 3-bet
AJo-: fold
22-77: call
88+: 3-bet

I don't adjust for CO vs. BTN with these hands.

A8s and A9s I flat call.
A10s-AQs I re-raise to about 12bb.

A9o I muck.
A10o-AJoI call.

AQo-AKo- I re-raise to 12bb.

22-77 I call

88-99 I re-raise 12bb.

Value and balance! If you're not 3-betting a hand as strong as 99, you're 3-betting range becomes either too tight or too weak.

With the hands that we call with, we will connect with the flop roughly 1/3 times. How do we balance the 2 times we don't connect with the 1 time we do?

Keep in mind, villain is a complete unknown, and making moves on unknown SSNLers is generally -EV.
