No reads even though you are this deep?

Bet/fold because all villains have AK in the poker world.
I'd bet 11.5k instead of 13k to save myself the 3bb.

Ew, this could really suck.

If you lead out with a reasonable c-bet (18000, let's say) and you get raised, you're beat almost every time. But you have nearly half your stack in by the flop. You're likely calling a shove while practically drawing dead unless you want to fold and lose half your stack to a poorly timed bet.

If you check and he leads out, can you call or raise? Maybe, if you have a very good read on your opposition. Though against a typical opponent with no reads, I shake my head and fold.

I think betting is the best option. By checking, you pretty much give up the pot. If you lead out, most of the time you're taking down the pot since it's unlikely that your opponent hit a flop such as that. It's basically a way ahead, way behind situation. I feel that you're the former more than the latter more often, but a bet here can force hands that beat you (such as 77 or 88) to fold.

No reads, villian just moved to the table a little over an orbit ago. I pretty much did what Bob said. I bet 20K trying to get him to lay down mid pairs, he shoved, I threw up and folded. I guess I could have bet less and saved a little.

Edit - the pot was 32K pf, the converter didn't put the right amount in.

This sucks, but I can't really see any hands you're ahead of here. Calling, even with 2.5:1 odds, just seems spewy. Nice laydown I think, and the bet amount is cool enough with 32k in the pot.
