Help with Sirius S50?

I recently got the Sirius S50 and I'm a total technology retard. Anyone else here own one?

My problem relates to loading songs from a regular CD onto the unit. I'm not sure I have things in the correct format (MP3 is what I need I guess) or really know how to do that correctly. I tried to rip MP3's from CD's using iTunes but I still wasn't able to get anything onto the S50 through the "MySirius Studio" program. Anyone have a clue? Do I need a different program to create MP3's from CD's?

Sorry for being a total moran, I suck at computering and the interweb.
