3 hands from todays session
Hand 1
Villan: 36/4/2,6 Ok on the river I make my straight, the board is paired and the backdoor flush has hit. He instapots. I would be more worried about a FH than the backdoorflush. I thought about pushing but decided that not much hands would call me here if I have them beat. So I just called. Re: 3 hands from todays session
[*] #1: I check this flop quite often. If we have the best hand, he has very few outs to improve and this guy only folds few better hands. Plus: the jack and ten hit many hands of his range and I'd hate being checkraised in this spot. But I don't hate the bet either.
River depends on reads. I really like to have notes what different bet sizes mean. But in general I'd just push here. We aren't deep enough to raise/fold and this kind of player will def. call us with any twopair and trips and will have this kind of hand very often. #2: Against this guy the turn is an easy valuebet. He will have a queen very rarely, but a random draw, a 9 or a worse jack (JT) the vast majority of the time. River is ugly, but you are getting more than 1:4 odds on your call and he still has a whiffed flush draw or some random crap at least sometimes. Plus: you get to see his cards and a nice info on his play. #3: AQ + shorty = fistpumpallin. His range needs to be like QQ+, AK or tighter to fold here and it is never ever this thin. |
