Youtube etc take ages.

I have an average speed of 48.0mbps and it takes so long on things like utube to watch videos.

Um, get a faster connection? You can't "tune up" a connection, unfortunately. The pipe is only so big, and you're pushing as much through it as you can. Unless you get a bigger pipe, you can't fit more stuff any quicker.
