Default European B&M Poker rooms

Hi long time reader first time poster. Just looking for info on European poker rooms. I generally play 2/5 nl and have played a couple of times in Baden Baden and also in the Vic in London and the Fitz in Dublin. Found Baden Baden very profitable but obviously haven't played enough in any of the above rooms to say anything for certain. Just wondering how ye guys rate other european poker rooms in terms of competition. From my readings on other threads France seems like a good place to go play....????

London offers great opportunities at the moment. The Vic is still the main cardroom in town, it's now undergoing an expansion which will increase capacity to 20 tables, and they started to spread No Limit, £1-£3 capped at £600. They also get some interest (but I haven't seen a game running yet) for £5-£5 uncapped. However, the old guard (off whom the most money is to be made) is understandably reluctant to embrace NL and are sticking to the suckout-friendly Pot Limit.

There are some very wild, juicy PLHE and PLO games being spread at the Palm Beach and the Sportsman. These are very small rooms (two or three tables) that cater to some very wealthy degen gamblers. Obviously these huge fish attract a fair share of sharks, but if you're lucky enough to be bankrolled for sitting at those games (they even have a £20-£20 PLO, min buyin £5k) you'll be able to sort the table out quickly.
They used to have a very big PLHE game going on at the Western club, but I've never played there and can't really comment. Second-hand info tells me that they used to have a couple of feeders and a bunch of very strong solid players around them.

For small stakes poker, I'll let some of the regulars to comment on the gutshot. A new club (perfectly legit from a legal standpoint) was opened last year, called The Loose Cannon. Very nice, friendly family-style environment, but at the moment they only manage to spread some games (£1-£1 plhe and nlhe) on thursdays and fridays.

On May 23rd the new Empire casino opens in Leicester Square (main tourist location). They're setting up 9 tables, it's not clear yet what they'll be spreading, if the crowd is casual/touristy it might get interesting.

The only cardroom in town that didn't deserve a capital letter?

There's £25 min £50 max PLHE with £1/£1 blinds and £50 min no max PLHE with £1/£2 blinds every night. There's always PLO on a Wednesday. Other games depend on demand.

Tournament schedule is here:

There really isnt a lot of choice in london. the gutshot and the vic are the two main places. The Vic is is in central/west london and the gutshot central/east.

the gutshot is a bit small and pokey and the rake is exorbitant (5% per pot up to a max of £10). but it provides a good spread of smaller games.

if you want to play at higher stakes go to the vic. they do a time charge which depends on the stakes. decent enough place, though could be better.

Amsterdam is ok, they have around 5 tables open up till 10 depending on the demand. And they always have a 5/5nl 500 max buyin game going. As well as 5/10 10/20 limit. Quite a lot of fish over there, the rake is a bit steep though.
