Best Live Bands
So I just got back from the Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers / Pearl Jam concert at Summerfest. Tom Petty was awesome, really got the crowd involved and played a great set. I was pleasantly surprised with Pearl Jam's performance (Eddie Vedder is something to see).
Another great live act that comes to mind is The Rolling Stones. So, what are some of your favorite live acts? |

Re: Best Live Bands
i saw the Old 97's at First Avenue about 8 years ago and was totally blown away. that said, i think 16 Horsepower is the most intriguing band to see live, as David Eugene Edwards really seems to be possessed by the holy spirit when he perfoms. it is very creepy.

moe.
Umphrey's McGee Keller Williams Trey Anastasio The best live bands are the ones who cut their teeth in 20 seat venues doing 200+ shows per year, eventually working their way into bigger and bigger venues as their fanbases grew. moe. may be the best live act going. I rememeber a New Years Eve show at the Wetlands where they just played until 7am. Everybody who didn't leave just went to sleep on the floor. |

[ QUOTE ]
Dave Matthews Band from 1992 through 2000 [/ QUOTE ] since then they have gotten pretty lame live with the exception of Central Park, which was awesome. I'd also like to nominate: Tool Phish Green Day (believe it or not) |

Dave Matthes Band. Barenaked ladies are also very good, at least from an entertainment POV.

Re: Best Live Bands
STP was about the best show I ever saw.
Tool, while being an awesome band, I thought was pretty boring live the 5 times I've seen them. RHCP were also very decent. |
