sb vs bb ranges and floating
I've started playing pretty loose over the last few months when in a BBvsSB situation when I'm BB against 15+ pfr types and dont know if its good or bad.
Seems to me that most tags will raise any Ace, K8+, JTs,22+ ish in the SB. Given that the range is heavily weighted towards K or A hands, how exploitable is this? What if I start calling with low connectors or suited cards, and float/CR every non K/A flop and generally using my position as a third card. Or should I just be 3 betting lighter and get the hand done with already. |

Re: sb vs bb ranges and floating
calling is a leak imo. i like re-raising like 75% of the time when in BB. as far as range... i'll re-raise with Q8s+. i find it very profitable preflop...rarely will you see a call from villain. as far as your calling range... i keep the calling range tight in these spots, because i'm looking to raise flop or turn like 90% of time when i call preflop. i really think calling preflop and folding flop is super weak, so i tend to be much more aggressive in these spots.

Re: sb vs bb ranges and floating
Calling is fine preflop, but do mix in some 3bets, but calling is certainly no leak with hands that play well postflop.
Smart players are usually very suspicious in blind battles so your air raises may get called and raised light, but it should work fine against tagfish and the like. |
