Trenton to AC - best way?

I will be in Trenton on business for two days next week, so naturally I plan to spend my evening at the Borg. I'll be taking the train from DC and won't have a car.

I looked at Amtrak, SEPTA, and NJ Transit and also at some bus lines, but all those options suck balls. Is renting a car the best way to make the trip?

I think freedom and sanity-wise, renting a car is best.

But I think NJT to Philly and taking a train to AC would be best use of mass transit.

Taking the train requires going out of your way. Rent a car, take 295 -> 42 -> AC Expway and you'll be there in app. 70-80 minutes.

i can attest to the correctness of those directions and yes, NJTransit is great in practically every other are of the state, but you'll be going so far out of your way from trenton-AC
