Default Bottom 2pair in BB vs SB

SB is 51.7/6.9/0.54 over only 29 hands. I havent seen him doing anything aggro.
MP2 is unknown+unimportant.
Hero has been extremly tight over couple of rounds of this session.

Party Poker 0.25/0.50 Hold'em (10 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

Preflop: Hero is BB with J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
4 folds, MP2 calls, 3 folds, SB completes, Hero checks.

Flop: (3 SB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
SB bets, Hero raises, MP2 folds, SB 3-bets, Hero ??

Whats heros line here? If SB is saying that he can beat top pair, best hero can hope for is split pot (excluding SB holding AA/KK and playing it "tricky").

First thought is I cap the flop and call down if he bets into me on the turn.

You don't think it's possible villian is getting frisky in a steal situation?

unraised pot? I think our hand is as good as Top Pair here. The board is moderately coordinated, so we are not usually up against a draw.

* Grunch *

I'm guessing he has Qx or a medium pair. If he had QJ I would think he would cr but he came out betting so I think he is protecting top pair or a medium pocket pair.

I call the flop. If turn is a blank then I raise or bet, if it is a Q I cc. If he cr turn and it is not a J or 2 then fold.

I would cap, then call down if bet into on the turn... unless you improve of course.

is call down a joke here? are you assuming he bets out. Why is that a good assumption?

You at least make sure there is one bet every street here.

This maybe a go without saying scenario but I assume you are saying call down on every street?

I'd be wanting to put another raise in if safe cards fall, especially since these types often slowplay their big hands. I don't like doing it on the flop, though.
