8000 entrants to the main event - Online Qualifiers?
I notice that party is guaranteeing a certain number (I think its 7-12 can't remember) seats per day for the WSOP, and full tilt has the massive guaranteed tournament, stars has the 150 guaranteed tournament today.
The question is, from 8000 entrants how many do you think will be satellite qualifiers (online satellite qualifiers) and how many will buy in directly? (Or I guess win the super satellites) |

Re: 8000 entrants to the main event - Online Qualifiers?
You are vastly underestimating how many people win live satelites. I would guess about a 70-30% online/non-online breakdown.
Stars will account for about 50% of the online qualifiers. |

As of right now:
FTP - 262 players Stars - 1250 players Bodog - 300 players? (guess) Party - No idea Other Sites - 300 or so (guess) I would say 65-70% make it in online. The rest are buyins or live sats. ~Justin P.S. Tom, you playing again this year? |

There are a number of other sites with satellites, so I would expect the other sites number would be about 800. There are also some live qualifiers at casinos other than the Rio. |

Re: 8000 entrants to the main event - Online Qualifiers?
From Card Player magazine:
Party plans to send more than 1,000 players, call it 1100 FTP plans to send more than 600 Paradise is tracking at more than 400 Bodog estimates sending 700 Absolute - 60 My guess on Pokerstars is 1500 With the rest of the sites out there like UltimateBet, estimate another 600. That puts us roughly at 5000 in online qualifiers. I highly doubt there will be 3,000 through cash satellites and direct buy ins. My prediction for the total number of entrants is 7150. |

My guess on Pokerstars is 1500 [/ QUOTE ] Stars is currently at 1274 and the 150 seat Gtd tourney just finished with 234 people winning seats. Some are duplicates for the W$ though. I can see stars sending 1500. I doubt it's going to be 1/2 of all like another poster said. |

Stars will account for about 50% of the online qualifiers. [/ QUOTE ] Probably more like 30% but that is still a SICK SICK number of people coming from just one site. Another 25% or so will come from Party now with the massive advertising blitz they are doing at the WSOP. |
