Erotica Lifestyles Expo: Christchurch, NZ - trip report

Seeing as we've got such a fascination with everything porn going on right now, I think this is worth a post.

Last weekend four friends and I went to the Erotica Lifestyles Expo in Christchurch, NZ. Now we'd never been to a porn convention before, so how could we miss it? Usually you have to go to vegas to see something like this. Having no idea what to expect, we arrived at the civic center at 6:30 pm. There's a line of around 30 people waiting to get tickets. Cost at the door was $15 NZ ($10 US). We buy our tickets and go in, they give us plastic shopping bags for all the handouts.

Now for those of you not in the know. A porno convention is just like a regular convention, except for trying to sell electronics or industrial solvents, they sell sex and porno. So the place is set up with a main stage for performances and demonstrations. We saw some KY wrestling thing going on up there when we got in, the girls weren't particularly hot, so we wandered through the booths. Dildos, sensual artwork, S&M products, drug paraphernalia, party pills, DVDs, and pretty much everything else you'd expect was being offered at these places. I saw a hot little girl with promotional pens stuck in her clevage, I took one. There was a bar up back and a special celebrity area where you could "meet the stars".

We arrived in the celebrity area to see two actresses I didn't recognize signing autographs. They sat on a big ornamented bed and wore almost nothing. Their breasts were large and fake. After a while they started putting on a show that involved groping and fake kissing that never resulted in contact. One of the girls fell out of her top, really fake [censored] have a weird consistensy to them. They also brought a young looking guy up on stage and straddled him and teased him about being a virgin.

The headline star for the show was Evan Stone and we hadn't been watching the girls on the couch for long when he came strutting along in knee high cowboy boots, a silver man thong and an evan stone.com fishing vest. We managed to get ourselves to the front of the line and all got autographed pictures. He wrote pretty hilarious lines on them, all variations on something like 'thanks for your help at the 200 girl orgy yesterday, you're a true cocksman'. Misspellings were rampant. We spent maybe 20 minutes listening him tell us stories about making porno. I was surpised at how nice and talkative he was.

We only stayed maybe an hour and a half all said. All in all I'd say it was a good time, but I don't imagine I'll be going back next year.
