Default Quaint

After reading about Krantz's session and Brian's match, funny to look back on what an insane sick big game this was at the time:

I've read it before but it's a good read for those who haven't.

Reminded of the 400/800 Eugene story from some WPT (Bahmamas or Aruba) a while back and thinking of how gross that was, or of just sweating 30/60 and being blown away. This wasn't even 3 full years ago. Poker got gihugic really quick.

Also reminded of when Paluka told me about watching the 10/20 (limit) on Pacific (IIRC) back in the day and being amazed at the limits.

vehn,

I usually end up posting this every year or so around WSOP time. This is the first year where it has not seemed like a story about a very big game anymore.

I remember reading this on r.p.g. at the time and being blown away. I believe I have a copy of the picture of Hector (the big winner) and his pile o' cash somewhere on my home computer. I won't have a chance to look until tonight, but I'll post it if I can find it.

Nice blast from the past, El D. If anyone is interested, here's the original RPG thread (not a rickroll)
