Have a problem with moneygram. Pokerstars
So I finally decide I will give online poker a shot again. You guys love bad players like me so I was more then willing to donate.
Anyway, I already have an account on stars so why not..On friday I made a deposit using their moneygram method. Went to my local store. Spent 9.95 in fees I think, the total was like $109.95. Waited, waited, nothing in my account. I sent them an email. On monday I get a response telling me they can't locate the transaction. I call moneygram and they tell me the transaction has been put on hold pending an investigation. I ask why, (since it was a relatively low amount, $100.00 THANK GOD.). The lady on the other end asks me if this transaction is for online gaming. I say no. She then says the investigation will continue and it could take 14-35 days for them to complete. Now I give stars all of this information and they pretty much tell me I am out of luck.. I understand they never got the money.. However I depend that stars gives me clean information in which to send a deposit. It is not my fault their processor got flagged by moneygram. Just eat the $100.00 and learn a lesson? Redeposit? |

The big deal to me is how pokerstars handled it. I understand that the money never reached them. However, I think it is highly unfair to put the entire burden and risk on me the player. I come away unhappy and untrusting. When I did play there I multi-tabled and generated a lot of rake. In my opinion the right way to do things is not just to shoot off an oh well tough email. |

What do you want P S to do??? They have NO PROOF that you wired them money. Are they suppose to just take your word?? Granted they could have been more sympathetic but nothing else they can do.

[/ QUOTE ] Why not just goto Moneygram and ask them to cancel the transaction and give you back your money. Even if it is for online gaming, if you cancel it, they have to give you YOUR money back. Tell them to keep the $10, but at least you get your money back. Then try ePass would be my recommendation if you really want to play at Stars...or Paytru. |

You did the right thing not mentioning it was gaming. Just be patient and I can almost guarantee you will get your money back. You seem to have some common sense.

Re: Have a problem with moneygram. Pokerstars
maybe you filled it out wrong.
I noticed the receipt they give you doesn't have any of the numbers you put on the form so if the person who keys it in makes a mistake there's no way for you to tell. A long time ago I used WU and I got a computer printout with all the info on my receipt so it was easy to verify that everything was entered correctly. |
