The Theory of Poker
I beleieve when this book was written David Sklansky had a limit betting structure in mind. My question is how much can this book help you with your no limit holdem game?

Re: The Theory of Poker
First poker book I bought, few years ago, because the reviews said to. Not sure how much foundation it laid for what I understood after starting playing (no-limit tournaments, obviously, because they're the coolest). Probably quite a bit, and it's rare for me to be so complimentary about the output of someone I regard as a complete knobend. If you already understand poker, don't bother with it, but that goes for any book.
It would fit your table image if you called him 'Skalansky'. Try that. +EV. |

Re: The Theory of Poker
The book is the foundation to poker concepts etc etc etc.
ALL top flight players OWN this book. You can then follow up this masterpiece with how the concepts etc apply more specifically to no limit by reading NLTAP For those TV educated NL pros this book is essential reading whether limit or no limit. But then again you can just put your shades on and donk all in. |
