Default Finchem Favors Drug Test on PGA

and Tiger is volunteering to go first.

They mention beta blockers - and the one guy implies they are/would be illegal, but aren't they accepted on the PGA as legit right now?

Nick Price was prescribed beta-blockers once. He said he had to stop taking them because they screwed up his swing and his feel around the greens.

Beta-blockers may be a prevalent and legitimate concern. As for steroids, I doubt you could find a positive test even if you reached for one. Golfers by nature are quiet and family going people, reducing the possibility anyone of them would be corrupt enough to turn to performance enhancers. This is before we get to the fact that they would likely do little for a players game. No matter how far your drive or 2nd into the green, your short game makes or breaks you.

Feel free to expand on the profound analysis you offered consisting of the infamous 2p2 "lol". When you get to the part that indicates you think steroids will help them "drive the ball further", please take note of the fact that many of the PGA tour's longest hitters are lacking in the victory and Top 10 finishes column.

Look, the point that PGA players are somehow inherently more decent, ethical "family" people than other sports is just silly and really not worth discussin.

As far as steroids helping, of course they do. Men aren't vastly superior to women in golf because they are smarter, it's because they have better strength, reaction, etc.

These same silly "it doesn't help" arguments were prevalent about baseball too, and I'd think it's pretty obvious how wrongheaded it was then as well.
