Default Great recap of last year\'s Redskins vs Bucs playoff game

Even if you're not a fan of either team, I think you still might enjoy this....

That was classic.

Edit: There's a NE-DEN recap as well.

[/ QUOTE ]Washington homer here, so I'm obviously biased, but I don't think they were lucky at all. They dominated early and got off to a huge lead, then they went into a conservative shell to protect the lead. A lot of teams do this. If the score was close throughout, then I'm sure Washington would've put up better stats. I'm not sure how you can call the Redskins lucky when their defense pretty much outscored TB's offense(I say "pretty much" becuase while their D didn't technically score their first TD, it was pretty much created solely by them as they gave the offense the ball on the 5 yard line).

Oh and if any team was lucky last year it was TB. They shouldn't even have been in the playoffs. They got two horrible calls that totally decided games go for them: One against Washington and one against Detroit. If the refs make the right calls, TB misses the playoffs. I think Seattle would've handled TB.

Longtime Buc-fan. That was too cool. Woulda been cooler if they did that with the Bucs superbowl win....

iirc they had one good drive to start the game, got very lucky on the fumble and then basically couldn't gain a yard for the rest of the game.

[/ QUOTE ]I guess thats a fair recap, although I still maintain that they couldn't gain a yard because they just tried to run the clock out, and TB knew they were running safe running plays and stacked the line. Hey, it worked. Not sure how the fumble was lucky though- at least not any luckier than any other fubmle returned for a TD.

Are you kidding...you are saying the the Skins starting to run the clock out after going up by 14 in the 1st quarter? Talk about playing not to lose...I thought Gibbs was your coach last year, not Herman Edwards.

Anyway, thanks for the link...that was pretty cool.

If the refs didn't botch the Alstott "2pointer" in the reg. season game Tampa would've played Round 1 in Carolina and the Skins would've hosted the Giants.
