WPT to test new blind structure at Bellagio Cup III
From Poker on TV:
... the World Poker Tour has been seeking feedback on improving their often-criticized television-table blind structure. They will be testing out a new structure at the upcoming Bellagio Cup III event July 10 - 15. In the past they've reset the blinds and steepened the structure when it reaches the television table, but it looks like now they won't be altering the structure till it reaches heads-up: at that point they'll go from 90 to 60 minute levels. Below is the structure they're testing: Level, Ante, Blinds 1, 0, $50/$100 2, 0, $100/$200 3, $25, $100/$200 4, $50, $200/$400 5, $75, $300/$600 6, $100, $400/$800 7, $100, $500/$1,000 8, $200, $600/$1,200 9, $200, $800/$1,600 10, $300, $1,000/$2,000 11, $400, $1,500/$3,000 12, $500, $2,000/$4,000 13, $500, $3,000/$6,000 14, $1,000, $4,000/$8,000 15, $1,000, $5,000/$10,000 16, $2,000, $6,000/$12,000 17, $2,000, $8,000/$16,000 18, $3,000, $10,000/$20,000 19, $3,000, $12,000/$24,000 20, $4,000, $15,000/$30,000 21, $5,000, $20,000/$40,000 22, $5,000, $30,000/$60,000 23, $10,000, $40,000/$80,000 24, $15,000, $60,000/$120,000 25, $15,000, $80,000/$160,000 (90-minute levels until heads-up play; 60-minute levels during heads-up play) |

Re: WPT to test new blind structure at Bellagio Cup III
Antes on the third level? Mehh, no 25/50 starting level. I hate this "lets dupe the players by doubling the starting stacks, but we're really doubling the starting blinds too" routine. The antes are not even close to being consistant in ante % of the blinds. One level their 10% of the bb, another, they are 1/8th, another 1/6th, another 1/12th.
