I read it was a good program to get, so I did. Problem though

Step 1 is scan. What's step 2? How do I know which lines are bad, and what do I do to get rid of the bad lines?

I would google anything that shows up. AFIK you shouldn't be getting much if anything on a clean system. A quick tip, after you load up the program, let it sit for about 30 seconds before beginning the scan. You will get some false positives otherwise, or at least I did.
