I am going back home to Michigan for a few days, and apparantely a 2/5 NL game has sprung up at a local bar. Supposedly there were two tables with pretty deep stacks and less-than-stellar competition. However, there is no check-raising allowed in this game for whatever weird reason.
I doubt that the game will be as aggro as any of the mid stakes games online, but there should still be general fishiness. How can I adjust to this rule? Should I be worried, or do y'all think it will be easy to adjust in-game? Random thoughts appreciated, Bakes |

Wow that's a really wierd and retarded rule. Does Tuff_fish happen to own this bar by any chance?
I think one thing you can start doing is cbetting in position way more and second barrelling a lot, too, with real hands and air. If you can't be checkraised, then you shouldn't be playing pot control with TPTK and check behind. Same thing with draws, if somebody checks I'd be firing a lot since they can't checkraise me. Should still be a very easy game, as everybody is at the same disadvantage and they're undoubtedly not adjusting properly, while you should be. |

This really sucks for the donks. They love their misplaced c/r's.

Yeah.. hello small-ish thin river value bets with no fear whatsoever.
I'd just value bet constantly (leading into raiser w/ v big hands), and only bluff in position when checked to. The game's gotta be spectacular if the players actually tolerate this rule. |
