Default ($24) Raising the limper with AQo from BTN. And the hell explodes...

Full Tilt Poker
No Limit Holdem Tournament
Blinds: t30/t60
7 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
UTG: t1220
UTG+1: t1975
MP1: t1950
CO: t1295
Hero: t3260
SB: t3030
BB: t770

Pre-flop: (7 players) Hero is Button with Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
UTG calls t60 <font color="aaaaaa">(pot was t90)</font>, 3 folds, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises to t240</font>, SB folds, <font color="#cc0000">BB raises all-in t770</font>, UTG calls t710 <font color="aaaaaa">(pot was t1100)</font>, Hero?

BB is somewhat donkish and UTG is a random unknown. I'm getting more than 3 to 1 on my call (t530 to win t1810). Can't just call here because UTG will likely bet the remainder of his stack on the flop and I will miss it 2/3 of the time, so... Push or fold?

The BB is screaming that he has a real hand here - a strong pocket pair and AK are very likely. Like you said, UTG is going to get all in, so with your stack I just fold.

BB can easily have something like {66+, AQ+} as he's pretty donkish. The main concern is UTG limp/cold-calling BB's push...

I would just fold unless you know UTG is bad...which is quite likely given how this hand played out, so it's close.

Even still. You're behind to any pair and it's likely that you don't even have six full outs, because someone probably has one of the other Aces. You're racing at best and I don't see the reason to push now. If UTG wasn't involved, then I'd feel better about calling the BB's raise.

At 30-60 with a 3k stack here I am not looking to stick it in when racing, or possibly quite behind as I think we are a good portion of the time here. The UTG limp/coldcall can mean he sucks, and it can also mean he sucks but he's picked up a good hand. I dont think we see AJ or worse there often enough to get involved. If one of them has a pair and one of them has an ace (regardless of if it is AK or not), I dont like getting our chips in in this spot. Keeping the 3k in our hands for late game is my priority here over growing to 5k when the risk of dropping 1 or 2k is very real.
