Sorry if this question has been asked before but I couldn't find it. I have a Dell D820 widescreen laptop with 1900x1200 resolution and was wondering if I could hook it up to a standard resolution monitor like the Samsung 204B (1600x1200). I would like to use both of these simultaneously so I could play up to 8 tables with no overlap. Is it possible to use two monitors at the same time at different resolutions and even though one is widescreen and one is not?

The video card of your notebook will have to support a resolution of 1600x1200 on the external port for it to work *well*, but most notebooks do this just fine. Hook up the external monitor. Then right-click your desktop, choose "Properties", and then you can set the second monitor as an extension of the screen rather than as a clone, by using the checkbox "Extend my monitor to this screen". Good luck! Jester |
