Default NL200, AA in 3b pot, 4 to a straight vs overbet shove

Villain is a solid regular 20/18.

Given the action I just can't put him on the straight. The only hand he could possibly have is 88, and I would think that's a small part of his 3b range.

Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $1/$2 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter)

SB: $198.00
BB: $579.75
UTG: $232.85
Hero (MP): $385.85
CO: $227.10
BTN: $216.75

Preflop: Hero is dealt A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (6 Players)
UTG folds, Hero raises to $7.00, 2 folds, SB raises to $24.00, BB folds, Hero calls $17.00

Flop: ($50) 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)
SB checks, Hero bets $35.00, SB calls $35.00

Turn: ($120) 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)
SB checks, Hero checks

River: ($120) 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 Players)

fold. the "only" hand he could is 88? solid regs are 3 betting a much wider range than ur giving credit for - he could have any 8 from 85 up i think.

What? Solid regs reraise non-donks from the SB with 85s? Um... no.

Why didn't you bet the turn?

For the river: Of course call. How is this even a question. You need the sickest board and reads to fold AA in a re-raised pot.

Thanks for the analysis. I think the turn check seals the deal for calling the river bet. To be honest, I thought this was a semi-standard call against someone with a defined 3bet range as well the fact that he's not going for value on the river at all... it just really seemed that he shoved thinking "he can't call with an overpair."

Results: I tanked and called, he showed TT. only reason I posted this hand is because he berated me saying "it looks like 'I have an overpair, I call' " which it really wasn't
