1/3/6 NL with tricky situation with trips
Sitting in a $1 ante $3 $6 blinds, live game. Table is 8 handed. Been playing for about 2 hours.
6 limpers around to me in the big blind. Hero has 8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]9 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. Pot $44. Flop: King[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. SB Checks. Hero bets $30. Fold to CO who calls. SB folds. Pot $104. Turn: Queen [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. Hero bets $80. CO raises to $200. Hero calls. Pot $304. River 2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. Hero checks. CO bets $250. Hero??? Any advice grateful please. John_bcfc |

Re: 1/3/6 NL with tricky situation with trips
Looks like a fold
You're calling for a chop here. I wouldn't be surprised to find A9 suited here. Villian is most likely calling a push with any 9, and again you would be chopping the pot. |

Instafold without a read. This is K9, Q9, or A9 most of the time.

Re: 1/3/6 NL with tricky situation with trips
most live players at these limits will not be betting this river unless they have you-it sucks but i think you should let it go

Re: 1/3/6 NL with tricky situation with trips
Make the decision on the turn. Also, your river potsize is wrong (the potsize is $504, not $304) so he is only betting halfpot.

Re: 1/3/6 NL with tricky situation with trips
Yea, sorry it was meant to be $504. I called, when looking back on it was annoyed at myself for not having the discipline to fold. I was extremely worried about 10 j and also obviously a higher 9.
He had pocket queens. comments please? |
