Poker Tracker Databases Question
So I have Poker Tracker, I datamine and use PAHUD while playing. I have one PSQL database. I heard somewhere some people use two databases: one for hands "you are involved in" and one for "observed/datamined hands" is there ANY point to this? if so why? should I do this?

Re: Poker Tracker Databases Question
I have one database for playing/datamining, I don't see the point in having two separate databases.

Re: Poker Tracker Databases Question
If you datamine a lot, create a seperate database for mined hands only. There a 2 good reasons:
#1: You don't have to purge old mined hands from your played hands database before backing it up. You save time and disk space. #2: If you datamine a lot, your database will become huge. And so does the query results when PAHUD updates the database cache. I have 1 GB RAM and PAHUD refused to update/create the cache. This happens because PAHUD uses OBDC for accessing the PT database - and OBDC returns the complete result set at once, not row by row like other drivers. That's what APerfect10 from PAHUD support told me. He also gave me the advice to split my database. I did, and everything is working again. SirFelixCat, i just read your (i suppose there is only one SirFelixCat out there) post in the PAHUD support forum.. This is exactly the same problem i had . They will tell you to split your database or buy more RAM |

Re: Poker Tracker Databases Question
ok, so how does this work? make two PSQL databases, import normally with your primary, and on the observed hands tab you associate the "observed" database in that tab? Is this how that works?
