Default AJs on the bubble $109 rebuy

38 places pay, 40 players left. I'm in the bottom 25% but can most probably fold my way into the money... Villain is 16/13 over 50 hands...

In my on-going hatred for A-J, I am beginning to see the roots of my dislike. What range do you put villian on? Is he being aggressive during the bubble? Is he trying to get in the money & thus only playing premium hands? Really, 16/13 isn't very useful over 50 hands near the button.

If villian is a decent player, then I guess maybe AA-TT(?) AK-AQ suited & off. My reason for a tight range id the CL in the button and CL#2 in the SB. I don't see a decent villian making a move here with air. If you can give me a better read on him, then maybe this range can be wider. Also, he has committed 25% of his stack.

However, against this range, its a pretty easy fold.

I didn't have any reads on villain tbh... I hadn't paid much attention to the game [I deserve to be bubbled out just for that...] all I had to go with was PT data...

I'm curious, how wide of a range do you play here? The 3X BB bet is 25% of your stack. If you don't scoop the blinds, I'd have a hard time getting away from my hand here. Also, this is a $109 rebuy. I'd expect the field to be stronger than the run of the mill MTT. Obviously I have never played a 109r.

well i wouldn't play AJs if villain had a smaller stack or a much bigger stack... I just thought that so close to the money I had some FE... especially that I had been playing tight until then. I thought I might even be able to make him fold TT JJ AQ
