This is variance right?
I generally blame variance for these types of hands and just move on and try to remember that the set ups work both ways, however, I decided to post the hand to make sure it's variance and not a case of me over playing my hand. I will post the whole hand and keep the results as I'm not really asking how I should have played it, so I don't think the results will bias the answers. Either way, I think just by asking this question, even if I don't post results, most can assume I lost.
Some notes on the hand. I normally fold this hand to a raise but I have been destroying villain all session long with position so I decided to call. Villain started out playing decent but has started to get sloppy and calling me down real weak. The turn reraise might have been a little large but I honestly felt he had a hand (obviously not the flush) and was going to call even a large reraise, especally against me. Re: This is variance right?
I am definitely raising flop but either way, my chips are getting in the middle here.

Re: This is variance right?
raise the flop, your hand is extremely vulnerable
as played i make a smaller raise on the turn, but end up stacking off anyway |

Re: This is variance right?
If you're not playing for stacks with a flopped flush, you're not playing for the gold.

Re: This is variance right?
Yes, this is variance. Flush over flush (three flush cards on the board)you are very often either going to win a stack or lose a stack.

Re: This is variance right?
I agree that you stack off here. Turn bet is a lttle large to encourage villian to join in with you.
