Need a place to workout in vegas next week
Hey,
I'll be in Vegas next week and I'm looking for a good place to work out. I'm looking for a good place where I can do olympic lifts, and there's somewhere to run, mostly shorter sprints. A basketball court or something like that will do. I'll be staying at the comfort inn, just off the strip, but it doesn't really matter how far it is. I'll just take a cab or bus or something wherever I need to go. Also, I'll probaby be playing the wynn 60/120 and maybe hitting up the bellagio 80/160 if anyone's gonna be around. Thanks for the help |

sup bro [/ QUOTE ] No way. Sup Bro wouldn't be caught dead at 60/120 and 80/160 tables. I heard that Andy Beal refused to play Sup Bro heads-up because the stakes were too high. |

Re: Need a place to workout in vegas next week
The LVAC usually offer out-of town rates that are reasonable. They have two georgious facilities with everything you'd ever want in a gym on Eastern in Henderson and on Rainbow near Sumerlin, but both these are pretty far from the strip and a cab ride would be very expensive to get there (cheaper to rent a car), bus is feasable but long.
Closer to the strip there is a LVAC on Sahara/between Decatur and Jones and one near Sahara/Maryland. Those two are a bit older and not as nice, but are still nice gyms and have all free weight/nautilis/cardio you would ever want plus racquetball and swimming. I don't think they have an indoor track at those two, but the Henderson/Sumerlin ones do. These places are all large gyms but very packed during prime times. Not sure if any of them have basketball. There are also 24 hr fitness and some of them have basketball, but not sure they have out-of-town rates. If you are going to the gym daily, you can rent a car for less than a round trip cab ride. I'd suggest renting a car and going to the Sumerlin or Henderson LVAC facilities. They are really georgious. Sumerlin is just opened less than a year, Henderson about 2 years. |

Re: Need a place to workout in vegas next week
Do roomcards for the strip resorts get people access to their workout rooms? If so, is it possible to work some kind of ploy where some 2+2er staying at one of those hotels gives me their key when they leave or say they lost theirs and get another?

Try stealing a rack of chips. You'll get all the sprinting and lifting you can handle.

Re: Need a place to workout in vegas next week
The 24-fitness is on Tropicana about 3 or 4 miles west of the strip. They have a basketball court, and of course all the equipement you'd want. Much better than the typical hotel Nautilus and a couple of crome plated dumbells. I pretty sure you can pay something like $10 or $15 to workout or call 800-204-2400 and find out.

Helpful as usual, thanks for the responses. I'll be sure to check out at least one of those.
