Stud 8 at Foxwoods
Going to Foxwoods tomorrow...just wondering if they have any low limit Stud 8? Been there many times, just never cared to check but I'd love to play now if it runs. Any info appreciated?

Re: Stud 8 at Foxwoods
I don't think there's any specific Stud/8 game, and I haven't been in the Northeast since August, but when I was using Foxwoods as my home-base over the summer there was usually an O.E. game running (as low as 4/8 [there might have even been 2/4 on occasion, I'm not entirely sure], as high as 75/150 if we got enough interest. Usually played at 20/40).
I'm not sure if it's still running as consistently, but I played in that game every single time it was running over the summer and it was a really good game; most players sort of knew what they were doing so it made the game a lot more enjoyable. It was probably the friendliest game I played in, something about chopping pots makes people generally happier than the nits at NL. |

Re: Stud 8 at Foxwoods
I was there on Friday. A buddy of mine was playing in a 30/60 OE game and they also had a HORSE game of 5/10 going. Most likely you'll be able to play some stud 8, but yr choice in limits or mixed game rotation may be limited.

Re: Stud 8 at Foxwoods
You can always ask the floor to start up a game.
I ask for 2/4 HORSE when I have a few drinks and get bored of NL. If there are certain games in HORSE that everyone would prefer to skip (i.e. Hold em), they will take that out. Maybe you could ask for two or three of the games, so you will play Stud 8 more frequently than every 4 dealers? They usually get a game going relatively quickly. The only thing is you have to know which floor people to ask. Certain ones will be more accomodating than others, so do not be afraid to ask more than one person. |

[/ QUOTE ] it was tourney time, they play OE 75-150+ on a regular basis, u can start the game but u have to bring the people or start it short. Maybe a 10-20 OE or 20-40 will go but u will have to do some legwork. |

Call the floor, see what they have going, or if they can get one started.

Yeah, you will have better luck trying to start a mixed game like HOE [/ QUOTE ] They will not let u play H at any level if there is a hold em game at that level, so u could play 10-20/20-40 OE but not Hoe or Soe because it conflicts with the regular hold em/stud games. 40-80 would have to be ur level, but if they have a 50-100 hold em game going , then u would have to at least double the limit to 100-200 to make sure the 50-100 isnt affected. During tournament time, alot of these rules went out the window, but that is how it is on a regular basis. Moneymaker could basically start any game he wanted (6-7 max tables, and games that conflicted with ongoing games), and a lot of regulars were upset. He started 50-100, 7 handed HO table, and it made our 75-150 Omaha game just about break. |
