I tried to play some limit again but it has been a while.

3. If not, why am I even calling preflop?

Hand1: Checkraise.

Hand2: I call and raise most turns.

Big difference between the two is your position. In addition, in the second hand a turn raise will be taken more seriously with a three diamond flop plus your equity goes way up when a blank falls. You really dont want villian 3bettin the flop with something like J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] which gives him back the initiative and can lead to some hard decisions for you during the rest of the hand.

Turns out I got both flop plays the same, although I now understand better the reason for the flat call at #2.

Don't fold the turn in #2. You could have as many as 8 outs here if behind and you are ahead more often than you would think in a five handed game. I call most rivers also.

Hand 1: Ply up to the river is fine, and I probably bet the river. If villain you've ever seen villain bluffing on the river in those 100 hands, I check-call the river to try to get him to bet AK for me when he might not call with it.

Hand 2: Villain's stats tell me he's aggro enough to overplay a flush draw. I might not have raised the turn and just gotten myself to showdown to see if he shows me anything interesting.

A bet would target the TT portion of his range. Which, depending, only has to lay down 15-25%.
