Villain in the hand is 16/12/2.43 over 240 hands, turn AF of 8. I have been playing 16/14 at the table over the last 100 hands... Cbetting almost 100% hu, but rarely double barelling.

Do you fold the turn to the raise? Just call?

I get torn in spots like this. I'd like to see what others say. FWIW the way you played it I think turn = fold but I'd like to hear how other play the turn in general.

Holding the Ad I will check the turn..I do not want to be blown off my draw(should I be behind) and I still may have the best hand..

Your turning your hand into a semi bluff by playing it this way. The 3rd diamond either killed alot of action, or put you behind. Double barrelling here makes no sense at all in my opinion. Check call turn, and valuebet any river if he checks behind.

I doubt that the villain's turn reraise is a bluff often enough to justify your all-in. You have the implied odds to call his reraise if you think he'll call a 1/2 pot sized bet on the river when you hit.

The problem with this is he doesn't have implied odds as you said and that's what makes it hard to play. He would have to pay off a 1/2 pot bet nearly every single time to make this a +ev play and that just isn't happening.

The reason this hand became so complicated is the size of your turn bet, imo. Bet $20 to accurately represent your hand. If we are raised, I think we can easily muck this hand (unless we are being offered the correct odds to chase our flush). A 16/12 is very rarely raising this turn with any hand we beat if we make a close to pot sized turn bet.

Getting raised off our hands bites..Our hand does not need to be protected by making a bet...
