Default top pair vs bad player shove turn?

villian is a loose bad player.
this is from a 6 max 11 buy in tourney. mtt

I like a check here as most hands you have beat are worried about overpairs+flushes etc. With Ah I either check behind or make a small bet theres really few river cards you dislike none you hate. He most likely has a PP as most players will check shove a FD or set on that flop. So you have the best hand here a lot but shoving 8h8x folds as well as any pp without a heart. So he mostly has 1-2 outs so bet smaller or check
