It really pi$$es me off when ppl are goin through their hands that they've played and use the phrases "he smooth called", "he snap called", and the worst fukin one, "he cold called". how can u cold call something?!!?!?!?! it doesnt make sense!!!!! aarrrggghhhh. its just call! he called. not he cold called, not he smooth called, just he called.

i understand ur beef with smooth, but cold called is used when there is more then one person in the hand. ie one raise, a nother person reraises, now a different person aside from the other 2 raises cold calls. its also known as an over call.

from wikipedia about cold calling in sales "The word "cold" is used because the person receiving the call is not expecting the call ".

ie your bet is getting called however you arent expecting that person to be calling 2 bets in front of him.


as for snap called its used to show how quickly someone called, which makes a big difference in certain hands.
