Default Hockey Rules Question

Use to be big hockey fan, but I didn't watch most of the regular season as I was kinda mad about the lockout. Anyways, I've been watching the playoffs, and I'm pretty sure one of the new rules is that if you ice the puck, you can't make a line change.

Just now, in the Sharks-Predators game, the Predators iced it while they had their goalie pulled. For some reason, they were allowed to put him back in for the face-off if their zone. Why is this?

Default Re: Hockey Rules Question

This doesn't count as a line change. The goaltender is an exception to this rule (as he is to most others). The other 5 players had to stay the same.
