1010 Reraised 5.50//45 man
Villain had limped AK 3 hands before when he had about 2700 and doubled up. He hadnt been at the table for much longer than that. What do you do?

Call in an effort to stack his AA/KK. Without a set on the flop, check/fold. The price is just too good.

Re: 1010 Reraised 5.50//45 man
You're getting good odds to call and try to catch a set and your stack isn't crippled if you end up folding. There's no point pushing pre-flop - I'm just as worried about the limp-call from UTG.
The AK limp isn't much of a read really - 13.5BB is an awkward stack size, it's an awkward hand in this spot unless you're happy to push pre-flop, and how he plays as a shortstack might be (should be) very different from how he plays as a big stack. Having said that, he is min-reraising an early position raise from the other big stack at the table when stack sizes suggest he should be pushing - so assume that he has AA and fold/stack him accordingly after the flop. |
