BBV4Life will never be shutdown once we make our huge drawball banner. What other community would be able to come together as one to accomplish such a task?

Warning: Following response is srs biz.

Look, either Mat, Mason, et al. view these forums as a serious responsibility or they don't.

Case I: They view these forums as a serious responsibility.

Then they have a responsibility to the people who use these forums as a community. If a city were planning to pave over a city park, the city leaders have a responsibility not only to inform the residents of what's happening and why, but to get input from the residents on possible alternative courses of action. Similarly, it would be grossly inappropriate to shut down a forum without seriously consulting its members first.

Case 2: They do not view these forums as a serious responsibility.

Then why the hell do they care if horse porn gets posted inline?

your analogy is off b/c its a privately owned business, so they really dont owe anything to any of us. FWIW they dont want the NSFW stuff b/c people pay to advertise on this site and many companies are less likely to advertise on a site w/ easily accessible cartoon horse porn. completely understandable IMO even though i like lionel. the main thing is that people are bitching about it every time someone gets banned when everyone knows stuff like that gets you axed.
