Default AQ question

Full tilt 150

blinds 100-200
utg - 2000
utg+1 - 11000
hero(utg+2) - 5000
hero has AQ hearts

utg hasn't really done anything noticable. Utg+1 is very loose

UTG raises to 200, UTG+1 calls, Hero calls

Flop:As 5c 2s
Utg bets 600
Utg+1 raises to 2000
hero???

Default Re: AQ question

Gets it all in there without thinking twice. Seems pretty straightforward.

You're ten miles from the money with a modest stack. You have TP possible TK with action and a draw board. You prefer this to be head up and the only way to get there is to push UTG out of the way.

There's probably a chance that one of the opponents has AK or AQ, but also a good chance of AJ or AT. The main hands of concern 55 and 22 are highly unlikely. The only other real hands of concern are KsQS and KsJs and of those only the KQ is more likely.

You might be in trouble here but I'd be willing to fall on my sword this early in the tourney.

Um, I'm not familiar with the particular tyourney in question, but I think in MOST tourneys a fold at this point is a good option... You are rarely ahead of BOTH players.

Hero should raise or fold preflop.

Later,
