Default Work from Home

My fiancee's mom just got a work from home job answering phone calls for the I.R.S. I think it pays like $10/hr or something, but is great for her because she has M.S. and can't really get out of the house or anything.

That got me to wondering, are there any other good work from home jobs? You see all these ads all the times for the jillions of dollars you can make doing such and such, but you need to buy some program and what not, so I'm pretty sure there scams.

Are there any?

And no, don't reply w/ online poker.

Have you considered a job outside your home?

My GF works from her home as an independent freight broker. She's doing very well. There there are plenty of great WAH opportunities for people who are willing to give up the guarantee of a weekly paycheck. Jobs that let you work at home aren't as common (or lucrative).

At one time I was making about $30/hr grading SAT diagnostics, but after so many I was ready to gouge my eyes out. Horrible work.

Lots of jobs in the computer field are work from home. I have a bunch of friends that do it and one of the offers I have is for a work from home job. The compensation is always just as good as a job where you have to go to the office.

I asked this question 6-9 months ago and Bwana Devil was awesome in helping me out with valuable info. It was never used by my wife but Bwana took a lot of time and I granted him total conciousness on his deathbed (Caddy Shack) for his help.
